Our suggested tour centers around the delightful town of Orvieto

The Cathedral

Among the must-see attractions is the Cathedral of Orvieto, known as the Duomo, a splendid building built in the 13th century for Pope Urban IV. The striking Gothic facade with its mosaics and bas-reliefs and the Chapel of the Holy Body are not to be missed. At the back of this magnificent structure we’ll visit the Palazzi dei Papi, dedicated to Popes Martin IV and Boniface VIII.

Orvieto Underground

After the soaring heights of the Duomo, we descend into the magical atmosphere of the medieval underground caves, just across the piazza.

From archaeological treasures to tasty break!

We move on next to visit a traditional olive oil press and its museum. Afterwards we enjoy a light lunch of homemade specialties featuring the local oil. Our tour continues with a walk through the picturesque medieval village of Orvieto, then on to visit to a local winery where we’ll discover the world-famous Orvieto Classico and other captivating varieties. After learning about how the local wines are produced, we’ll sit down together to enjoy a delicious aperitivo!
