The wine roads: Bevagna & Montefalco

This is the land of Sagrantino, a sacred wine for the celebrations of Christian tradition. Around the middle of the last century it began being made into wine and bottled in the dry style. We will visit a local winery having a wine tasting and light lunch at the vineyard.

Our tour continue with a visit to the characteristic village of Bevagna. If you are lucky enough to come to Bevagna in June, you will come across one of the most historical events in all of Umbria: the Mercato delle Gaite. On this occasion, costumed characters re-propose ancient crafts along alleys and characteristic environments, with tasting of ancient medieval flavors and presentation of typical artisan products.
